Linking your Intercom to Supportman

First step of onboarding with Supportman is authorising access to your teams' Intercom.

Written by Tahnee Saunders

Scenario A

You have Intercom Admin rights

Perfect - you can head straight to the link below to authenticate your Intercom with Supportman.

If you are already logged in - this will take you to a page that looks like this, except your Intercom workspace name will be in the place of the blue 'your Intercom'.

If you aren't logged into the Intercom, it will take you to the Intercom login page as below. Login and proceed will the authentication process as outlined above.

What happens next?

If you haven't linked your Slack you will be taken to that page - you can read more here.

Or if your Slack is already connected - you will be taken to this page, success!

Scenario B

You do not have Intercom Admin rights

Sometimes the person signing up for Supportman isn't the same person within the team that has Intercom admin rights - that is ok. We have a template email belong you can send to the right person in your team:

Hey {intercom_admin},

I'm setting up Supportman for our team (it helps us respond to low CSAT responses faster). Setup is one click but it needs an Intercom admin to approve the connection.

Thanks.
